Remodeling for Modern Life
Remodeling houses is now drawing attention in Japan. Everything inside is taken down until only the skeleton of the building is left. The new owner is free to plan a floor layout he or she likes. The process costs much less than building a new apartment and can give old buildings a new lease of life. But remodeling brings with it new challenges such as earthquake-resistance and structural safety. Today, we'll look at the possibilities and problems surrounding remodeling.
