A Japanese mountain climber Chizuko Kono died in May while trying to reach the summit of Mt. Dhaulagiri at the age of 66. Through her personal notes, this edition examines her struggle to overcome gender discrimination and find purpose in life while fulfilling her role as a mother, wife and hospital manager.
