On Site: Tokyo Motor Show 2011
Today's Japan Biz Cast will cover the Tokyo Motor Show 2011. The venue for the year's show was closer to Tokyo than in years past. Automakers from around world participated and there were plenty of attention-getting exhibitions that excited visitors, including new models being unveiled for the first time. From EV's, hybrids and plug-in hybrids to gas and diesel engines with impressive fuel efficiency, cars designed for eco-friendliness seemed to be the big trend. But there were also plenty of sporty models designed for a pleasurable driving experience. Join us as we take a look at what's new from both foreign and domestic carmakers.

Gadgets: Fashion Cut from a Different Cloth
What's the first thing you think of when you hear the word "inner tube"? For many, it brings up images of a large rubber donut, maybe at the beach or sliding down a snow covered hill. Today we introduce a very different inner tube. This one is actually from a Japanese underwear maker.

Gadgets: Putting the Pressure on Ballpoint Pens
Did you know that writing with ball point pens pointed upwards can cause them to stop writing? Unfortunately, this is how we often hold pens while writing away from our desks and on the go. A new ballpoint pen has been introduced that solves this issue by using compressed air to push out ink. We'll take a look at this innovative pen in the Gadgets segment.
