Daniel Ost - Floral Artist Who Combines East and West

Daniel Ost
Floral Artist
Born in 1955

Daniel Ost is an internationally renowned floral artist whose clients include royalty and other VIPs. Ost provides floral arrangements for the Belgium Royal Family. He blends east and west in the "floral sculptures." A number of historic buildings around the world, including Sugimoto's House, Toji Temple, Ninna-ji Temple, and Kinkaku-ji Temple in Kyoto, Japan, have been graced by his floral creations.

The architecture provided by the flowers and plants transforms the venue into what could be described as spatial art. The floral creations are a distinctive blend of boldness and attention to detail.

Takeshi goes to Belgium, visiting Daniel's hometown of Sint Nicolaas, where the florist has decorated a whole range of places. He delves into the soul of Daniel's gorgeous creations which bring together eastern and western perceptions of beauty.

TAKESHI's VOICE
TAKESHI's VOICE

Daniel Ost
If you really reach down to the essence of that flower, then it expands to fill its "container"... the room, the building, outward and outward until a whole universe has formed. And that's why, like you say, one flower can say so much, can be the focal point of its own little universe. Yet still, the most important thing about a flower is that it is a living thing.

I can't re-post files, sorry. The exception is files that are less than a day old. All mediafire links are broken forever. If you ask nicely and show that you tried but couldn't find the file elsewhere, someone may share it again.
