Japanese figurines obtain international stature
Figurines are another aspect of Japan's pop culture that's going mainstream. In just a few centimeters, they display an attention to detail in various forms, not the least of which is anime characters. More than 4,000 of the small-scale sculptures are on exhibit at a contemporary art museum in Osaka. Attendance has been 10 times that of conventional shows. On the other side of the globe, the British Museum is now selling Japanese figurines as souvenir items.
Whether they're art or kitsch, Japanese figurines figure heavily in commerce. The market for them has grown to more than 36 billion dollars per year.

I can't re-post files, sorry. The exception is files that are less than a day old. All mediafire links are broken forever. If you ask nicely and show that you tried but couldn't find the file elsewhere, someone may share it again.
