Entertainment for everyone! Tokyo has an amazing range of entertainment options, from traditional to high-tech. This time we find some places where you can really relax and have a great time.
The theater of robot show in Shinjuku (4 min. 56 sec. )
This venue puts on live shows... with robots. Patrons fill the 90 seats that surround the stage.
The 4,000 yen admission charge includes a bento box, tea and show.
Hand puppet in Yanaka (6 min. 51 sec. )
Now Jordan's going to take in a live show in Yanaka, an old-fashioned Tokyo neighborhood.
The shop owner is Mitsuaki Tsuyuki. He used to teach clay modeling to children, but got interested in hand puppets. So he became an artisan.
Tsuyuki-san's workshop has shelves full of the hand puppets he has made. They all have very detailed facial expressions, down to their wrinkles and each one is captivating.
Bathhouse in Shin-Nakano (5 min. 59 sec. )
Finally, Jordon and Amy stop by a bathhouse in a residential neighborhood.
The owner, Sumihiro Tajima, is a "bathhouse magician". He presents about 600 shows per year at nursing homes, weddings and other venues. Locals treasure this bathhouse has been a family business for about 60 years, spanning three generations.
