Kanze Kiyokazu - 26th head of the Kanze School of Noh
Kanze Kiyokazu
26th Grand Master of Kanze Noh
Born in 1959
Acceded to position of Grand Master in September, 1990
Takeshi is fascinated by the Noh drama but knows next to nothing about it and decides to inquire at the source! He goes to meet the 26th Grand Master of Kanze Noh, a school which draws on the traditions of 14th and 15th century Noh masters Kanami and Zeami. The Kanze Noh Theater is located in Shoto, Tokyo. Takeshi first watches a famous Noh play, Hagoromo (The Feather Mantle), and then goes backstage where he is shown Noh costumes and masks and such treasures as a copy of Fushikaden, Zeami's treatise on Noh theory, written in Zeami's own hand, entering a deep world of Noh that few ever have a chance to glimpse.

You know what's really interesting about Noh? You have the costume and the mask on, you are standing in front of people, and you can't see what you look like. You have to think in your own head about where you are on stage and what the audience is seeing, which way the mask is looking, all those things... calculating all of them in your head.
With screen actors, they say that you have to be able to visualize how someone on the other side, in the audience, is seeing you.

I can't re-post files, sorry. The exception is files that are less than a day old. All mediafire links are broken forever. If you ask nicely and show that you tried but couldn't find the file elsewhere, someone may share it again.
