Reflecting upon oneself in meditation, transcribing Buddhist sutra in tranquility and tasting the painstakingly prepared vegetarian meal. These are some of the delights you find in 'shukubo (temple or shrine lodging)'. Selected shukubos will be introduced, with tips to enjoy this now popular shukubo experience.
In this edition, we visit Koyasan, the headquarters of Koyasan sect of Shingon Buddhism located in Wakayama prefecture, and take up a cosmopolitan shukubo attracting many foreign tourists, Rengejo-in. The temple is known as confinement of Sanada Yukimura, placed in by Tokugawa Ieyasu after his defeat in the Battle of Sekigahara.
Actor Masanobu Katsumura and temple tourism expert Sarasa Yoshida experience the distinctive Shingon meditation and hand-copying of sutras, and visits Kongobuji, the head temple of Koyasan Shingon Buddhism.

I can't re-post files, sorry. The exception is files that are less than a day old. All mediafire links are broken forever. If you ask nicely and show that you tried but couldn't find the file elsewhere, someone may share it again.
