The 100-day trial of Kanae Kijima - A test for Japan's lay judge system
Japan's lay-judge system requires ordinary members of the public to make grave decisions. The 100-day trial of Kanae Kijima, accused of killing three men in the Tokyo area, was the longest yet under the new system. The lay judges' deliberations are a tightly closed secret but we investigate what their duties in this high-profile case involved and consider both the problems and potential of the lay-judge system.

I can't re-post files, sorry. The exception is files that are less than a day old. All mediafire links are broken forever. If you ask nicely and show that you tried but couldn't find the file elsewhere, someone may share it again.
