Forbidden Kyoto - The Depth of Green Tea

Forbidden Kyoto: The Depth of Green Tea

Still shrouded in mystery in the 21st century, not even Japanese people know all there is to know about Kyoto.
In the third installment of this series, our guide, who knows the city inside out, takes us on a tour of forbidden Kyoto, taking the camera into places normally off limits to the public.
This episode focuses on chanoyu, or the "Way of Tea". 400 years since Sen no Rikyu established this aesthetic during the Japanese civil war, it lives on, protected by the three houses of Sen and Kyoto at large. Whilst known overseas, many foreigners find the unique methods of chanoyu mystery and sacred. In this episode, American potter and tea practioner, Richard Milgrim, invites us to take a look at Kyoto as he sees it.

I can't re-post files, sorry. The exception is files that are less than a day old. All mediafire links are broken forever. If you ask nicely and show that you tried but couldn't find the file elsewhere, someone may share it again.
