Rice is special to the Japanese. Since rice cultivation arrived here millennia ago, it has molded Japanese society, the landscape and religious beliefs. That history is reflected in archaeological sites and other remains across the country and in everyday lifestyles today. This is a journey to aspects of the Japanese mind that have been nurtured by rice farming. We also meet people who still dedicate their efforts to this beloved crop today.

A Sacred Paddy Field
The rice dedicated to the gods at the Ise Shrine is grown in a special sacred paddy field.

The Red Rice God from over the Sea
The island of Tsushima in Nagasaki Prefecture is regarded as one of the routes for the transmission of rice to Japan. Fishermen there still practice a remarkable rite in which the red rice is worshiped as a god.

  2. also remeber that different host can give different speeds to different people.

also some may be slower but they retain the files longer. so its not as simple as whats fastest. who cares if a site was ultra fast if the file is gone a few of days later.

    1. yes speeds are relitive but when they are slow as hell it is more often than not capped speeds. 50kB-70kB. That will remain slow no matter your ISP. Others I labled as slow are capped but probably capped way above most peoples isp max. When I say a host is fast it is consistantly giving up 300kB or more. This is over cable, fios, and 3g/4g.

In general unless your on a terrible route, what I lable as fast is fast no matter what, or rather fast in relation to the other file hosts.

Retention is important and unrelated to speeds. I have not used some of these long enough to know which are taken down sooner. All have a limited hosting per access. IE if not accessed within a 30day period itll expire. Others however have a auto kill on keyword or auto expire. But the worst have a daily or hourly BW cap. Often only allowing maybe 5 people to access a day. I think bitshare has deleted all uploads already. Probably deletes all files from mass uploader sites like the one used here.

I can't re-post files, sorry. The exception is files that are less than a day old. All mediafire links are broken forever. If you ask nicely and show that you tried but couldn't find the file elsewhere, someone may share it again.
