The Lollipop Chainsaw pack

Shooting and other action videogames are the best sellers all over the world. There's no question Japan lags behind the competition in this genre but there is one highly distinctive Japanese exception. He calls himself Suda51 and his latest work, the zombie action LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW for PlayStation 3/Xbox360, awaits its simultaneous global release in June. He is one-of-a-kind creator and the release is attracting strong attention both at home and abroad. SUDA51 is Managing Director of Grasshopper Manufacture, Inc., a videogame planning, research and development company that we have featured on this program before. Everything he does is unique from the video to the music. His style and scenarios, which he writes himself, are often described as being "on-the-edge" and may be even more appreciated abroad than in Japan. His reputation could be bigger over there! The extravagant LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW action game features a cute, blond high-school girl who hunts and mows zombies down wi th a chainsaw. It is all very detailed and sure to be an international hit! Happy, cute, sexy and violent... we learn all about this coming campus zombie action game!

This is the program for the lowdown on the latest game from "on-the-edge" creator SUDA51, who has the world in his sights!
Creator's interview:
Kenichi Maeyamada Japanese Music Creator

Kenichi Maeyamada started piano at the age of four and music programming on the synthesizer in junior high. Now 31, he has an international reputation. That began when he started sending sensational video clips he'd made to the Nico Nico Douga video-sharing website. He arranged the background music for videogames and sang his own lyrics, too. He now does the words and music for both videogames and TV cartoons, creating voices for all sorts of people, too, male and female, young and old, which he dubs onto the clips he shares on video sites.

  Dropped video frames

Found average frame timing of 33 ms

        Line Duration (ms) Time window
  No missing frames

  Total frames: 50413

This video has no dropped frames so has been marked as CFR by removing the timecodes. It will play on the PS3.

He claims Lollipop Chainsaw is fun for the whole family... not so sure about the wholesomeness of that...
