Takeshi visits Kyoto in cherry blossom season. He first goes to the orchard of the 16th Toemon Sano, the most noted cherry tree grower in Japan and the custodian of some 150 valuable cherry trees. He also visits the garden at the Kyoto State Guest House, to which Sano devoted a decade to complete, and the garden of a Gion teahouse, which for many years has been his favored salve for the soul. They reflect on the Japanese aesthetic sense and relationship with the world of nature.
TAKESHI's VOICE
TAKESHI's VOICE
