Tomotaka Takahashi
Graduated from Kyoto University Faculty of Engineering Undergraduate School of Engineering Science (Mechatronics Laboratory). Established Robogarage. Co., Ltd. in 2003 as the first venture business based within Kyoto University. Currently Associate Professor at the University of Tokyo's Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology.
His best-known work, the bipedal robot Chroino, was chosen as the Coolest Invention of 2004 by Time magazine of the United States and the newest, ROPID, is an utter charmer with its sweet gestures and phrases. Takeshi visits Takahashi's lab at the University of Tokyo's Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology and we meet Takahashi's major works one after another - Chroino, FT, EVOLTA and ROPID. Takeshi delves into the secrets of Takahashi's attractive, trademark fusion of design and technology and they discuss a vision of the future where people and robots coexist.

So now there is this robot that can communicate with people a little bit, and perform different actions. People who are normally antisocial will love it!
You can converse with it, right?
"That's wrong!", "Oh, I guess you're right"...
That would be fun! So it could be a companion for people on an emotional level too? Maybe robots will overtake dogs!
