Big expectations for ultra-compact cars

Ultra-compact electric vehicles could be the next big thing in the auto industry. They're about the size of golf carts, capable of carrying one or two persons. That could be just the right scale for personal transportation in Japan's rapidly aging society.

The Transportation Ministry is promoting the ultra-compacts as easy for the elderly to drive. Beyond that, maintenance is minimal, and the cars offer freedom of movement without clogging up crowded streets.

I can't re-post files, sorry. The exception is files that are less than a day old. All mediafire links are broken forever. If you ask nicely and show that you tried but couldn't find the file elsewhere, someone may share it again.
