Sculptor Atsuhiko Misawa's wooden animals have been a sensation in the wood-carving world. Called "Animals", his representative series began in 2000. The observer can project anything onto the lion's face. Onto the bears' faces, too. Any description would be true. Maybe the bear's thinking, "I'm full." Maybe he's thinking, "I'm hungry." Both are OK. The face could mean opposite things. That's very interesting.
