Aleutian Islands lie about 5000km away from Japanese coast. On one summer day, 10 million sea birds and 500 whales congregate. Explosive number of herrings surge like raging waves; and cover the ocean surface as far as the horizon. The sight of wild creatures packed in the 10 square kilometres of surface; and silence that returns in a matter of few hours is mere magic. The cause of this magical congregation is in the geological features of Aleutian Islands and condition of the sea. Both cold current and warm current run from north to south and vice versa. Currents merge at straits between multitudes of islands to stir deep sea nutrient up to the surface. As the result, explosive increase of phytoplankton occurs that trigger a chain reaction in massive increase of krill, herrings, and then to whales and sea birds.

Short-tailed albatross, designated as a special natural treasure in Japan, also flew in for this mass feeding of herrings. It is the first time that their behaviour of feeding and courting were filmed in the open sea. Film crew spotted a young short-tailed albatross which was reared on artificial feed by researchers; and released at Muko-jima, Ogasawara Island in 2008. This particular bird was again spotted at Ogasawara Islands in February this year. The programme will reveal amazing spectacle of the ocean with the latest surprising discoveries.

  1. Is there on single files a way we can have them rar/ziped or have a hash file? I keep getting incomplete DLs off MediaFire even though FF says they are complete. Could be a lag in my isp or something to do with mediafire itself. Posting on this episode since both rars dled as corrupt the first time. Still love MediaFire due to it's speed and ease even with the capcha annoyance. Rarely get anything that can send over 4mbps these days.

  2. Hello, the MediaFire links no longer work. Is there anyway to get new links? Thank you.

I can't re-post files, sorry. The exception is files that are less than a day old. All mediafire links are broken forever. If you ask nicely and show that you tried but couldn't find the file elsewhere, someone may share it again.
