I recommend using:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.gamefront.com/ (it's even better than Mediafire, seriously)
http://tishare.com/ - allows files only up to 150 MB but it should suffice (1 GB of space only but you can have multiple accounts so that restriction is almost silly)
and
http://www.mirrorcreator.com/
Do not use MF since your account will be suspended.
And yeah, Gamefront allows to upload any kind of file and the download speed is superb. It's basically Megaupload v2.
DeleteUmm. My question is what does Funimation have to do with your links?
DeleteUmmm.. Moonlight Mile? Duh? That's their title moron.
DeleteTry EmbedUpload, you can upload files as high as 1GB & can be uploaded on multiple sites. http://www.EmbedUpload.com
ReplyDeleteHow about Torrent? is there any disadvantage for torrent files?
ReplyDeleteTorrents are bad since you have to upload files, i.e. re-distribute which usually is illegal. And it's much easier to find someone using it.
Deletei vote for gamefront too.
ReplyDeletealso, it was really strange to see a dmca from someone other than nhk. it looks somewhat scammy to me since the only ones who could actually say anything would be nhk, or a company on nhk's behalf. i highly doubt this guy is in contact with nhk at all.
someone posted this recently and the also note this site's dubious activity. http://www.reddit.com/r/Libertarian/comments/10h055/whats_the_consensus_on_people_like_this/
I had a takedown notice from Mediafire a couple of weeks ago. The odd thing is it was for files related to the game-mod DayZ and beta patches for ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead - both free and re-distributable. Oh and the anti-piracy company was LeadID. I phoned LeakID and asked them (in French) if they were agents or representatives for Bohemia Interactive. No, they weren't. When I explained that they'd had my files removed, they hung up. I filed a DMCA counter-notice with Mediafire and the two week required response time runs out today. So far I haven't had a reply. I will pursue it.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like Mediafire is being targetted by the anti-piracy bunch at the moment and they're very much using a scattergun approach. They're assuming that anything on Mediafire is pirate material and submitting tons of links they've found through vague Google searches. They've probably searched for Japanese cartoons and accidentally found your stuff and just added them to their list. They don't care if they get the right files or not.
Unfortunately, you probably can't contest this. I hope you manage to find a solution to this as your uploads are very much appreciated.
I received a DMCA for the imagine-nation episode on lollipop something (the name slips my mind, the game with the miniskirt and chainsaw where the producer tries to say it's suitable for the whole family with the straight face) a few months ago. I filed a counterclaim but I don't think the file ever reinstated by mediafire. I will probably just stop posting imagine-nation and j-melo because they are the most likely to attract this kind of problem, and they have the fewest downloads.
DeleteYou should name the file with a date & exclude the title. That might be the only way not getting a DMCA warning or notice. Here is an example: 20120501 imagine-nation.mkv & not 20120501 imagine-nation - Lollipop Chainsaw, Kenichi Maeyamada.mkv
DeleteThat's what I started doing after that incident.
Deletei suggest using Jumbofiles
ReplyDeletehttp://jumbofiles.com/
you can upload up to 1GB each file with free account,
I also vote for GameFront
ReplyDeleteAnd about the Imagine-Nation series, i download them from you everytime you put it up (i didnt catch the lollipop Chainsaw episode before it was taken down) why dont you just make the file name 20111025 imagine-nation and leave it at that
